ABOUT ME

It's not easy writing romance.

I decided as a very young lady, walking around my grade school with books whose covers were a little “less than appropriate” for my age group, that that’s what I wanted to do when I grew up. No, I don’t mean model for romance novel covers. Fabio is not really my type. But I wanted to be the one who wrote stories of dashing swordsmen rushing off to save fair maidens from burning towers, fair maidens rescuing their heroes who need someone to take charge. Of course, my fantasies grew up as I did, and knights became lawyers, and maidens became, well, still maidens, just in the courtroom, or police force, or the hundreds of other ideas that are all mine, my preciouses.

Clearly the fantasies live on; they’ve just become a little bit more realistic.

Currently I’m working on the second book of my series, hoping to send it to my publishers by the end of the year. There are just so many ideas running around in my head that it has been rather difficult organizing them into some semblance of a complete narrative. Now if only I could remember to keep the zombies separated from the lawyers for a little bit longer, everything will get sorted out just right.

I blame my inspiration on school. In July, I finished my Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Zombies, vampires, radioactive doctors, but not a single lawyer made it into my thesis. Now those same creatures keep running around my head, wanting to get down on paper, and my lawyers are biding their time in the spotlight.

Is it bad that I routinely have conversations in my head between Logan Reese, Esq. and Mr. Laughlin, Zombie Master of the Cotswold’s?

That will just be our little secret.

After graduating, I returned home and started a writer’s group for my local area, wanting to reach out to aspiring artists, myself included. I’m lucky to live in an area full of writers wanting to find others with the same passion. I split most of my time between them and working in my day job law office taking calls, and writing briefs.

In my free time, I play volleyball with my little sister on a pickup team, try to potty train my puppy who is four years old, and strum chords on a guitar while my friends sit around in a circle, not singing Kumbaya. It's a very active life.

I always love hearing from fans and writers alike. Any questions on my stories, myself, or the greater idea of craft in general, please feel free to ask me. I’m always checking my email, and will do my best to respond promptly. Look for me at: http://www.bookstrand.com/faith-reinhart or contact me via email at: faith.reinhart01@gmail.com.
